bug

Game of Thrones FirelandsThe recent lack of news postings isn’t due to slacking. There is simply not much to say about the state of Enhancement Shamans these days. During PTR already I posted about the Fire Nova changes, which are so awkward to use, and no other changes affect us, yet.

Enhancement DPS SaurfangIt has been a good 2 resets that we could test the new 4.0 content and one thing has become clear. Enhancement DPS definitely went down. During the first reset I was a bit disappointed to see, despite the new abilities and the new hard hitting Lava Lash, tha tI lost a good 1-2k DPS. At first I blamed screwed up rotaion and similar silly mistakes for it, but with this weeks reset and a lot more practice it has become evident that we indeed lost a good chunk of dps.

I recall Blizzard promises when they first announced the changes for 4.0 – “Your DPS will NOT GO DOWN”, but in fact all Melee classes took a big hit the first 1-2 days.
We had our Warriors, who did 18-20k DPS prepatch, doing less 10k dps and then 1 day later after a massive uproar in the Forum were back to their prepatch dps, maybe even a bit higher. This Fix also gave Retribution Paladins and Feral Cats, who are at 22-23k DPS in their BIS gear now btw, some buffs. Leaving us pretty alone at the lower end of the DPS Meter.

Dualwielding macro smallA common problem for dual wielding classes is that they are using 2 weapons with the same name. The normal /equip macros usually bug or place the wrong weapons or don’t change the offhand at all.

Fortunately I stumbled over a neat script sometime somewhere to return an equip itemcode for your current equipped weapons. You can use that for your own macros and it will work flawless for your macros.

Uldum Fire Sphere QuestEven though Uldum is still closed in the latest Cataclysm Beta build it is possible to enter via the “back entrance” in south western Tanaris, close to the descent to Un’goro Crater.

It is clearly visible that Uldum is still “work in progress” and it is pretty much empty for now. However while poking around I found a single Quest and just had to test it out.

At first I though “WTF is this ?!?!?” as I turned into a glowing ball of fire!

As European we are quite used to be limited to second class treatment by blizzard. There are hardly responses from the European Community Manager Team or even straight answers from Developers.

Icecrown PTR testing seems to peak at total unfairness. Why does Blizzard invite Players to the PTR, but then doesn’t enable Bosses, keeps doors locked or provides testing at different times than announced.

I mean there is lot of interest in testing Icecrown Citadel as you can easily see here:

But the for most people the evening ends like this, looking at closed doors, while some selected guilds get special treatment and personal GM help. Blizzard, you could handpick invitations to PTR if you can’t handle the load and prevent people from staring at the doors all evening.

Interesting encounter, eh? :D

During Hallow’s End I found this funny bug. You can find an Underbelly Elixir in the Dalaran Underbelly (Sewers). One of its possible Effects is turning you into a Tuskarr.

You need to get a Weighted Jack-o’-Lantern on your head and then drink a Underbelly Elixir. Apparently the WoW Client does not know what to display then and puts a cube on your head! It looks like this:
