It has been a while
since the last report and as you can easily see, I slacked. There is no real use for anymore gold and it doesn’t make much sense to use so much time on the auction house.
I have cut down massively posting glyphs and enchanting mats, sparing me 3000 auctions per 48 hours. On the other hand it means that even doing only minimal AH Business it is merely impossible to not gain masses of gold these days. Often I am even to lazy to relog alts to send materials and rather buy them expensive on the auction house.
After the post below where my Retribution Paladin soloed Molten Core I got a lot of questions regarding soloing Gehennas. There aren’t many things that can’t be outhealed by Judgement of Light or Seal of Light, but Gehennas casts a -75% healing debuff (curse) which makes the encounter still challenging.
But how can you do it? Basically I cleared the path back up towards the entrance, to get some room for kiting and started off with Seal of Command and Shadow Aura since the shadow damage is the most damaging move.
Keep in mind:
- Always move backwards to minimize the time you stand in Rain of Fire
- get the 2 Guards down asap
- Use Sacred Shield and instant Flash of Light as often as possible
- delay Bubble as long as possible to remove the healing debuff, heal up before you get the debuff again.
- once the adds are down switch to SoV and hope you can outlast Gehennas
I have put up a short video of my last – but not best :D – Gehennas kill.
Good Luck! Let me know how it worked for you!
So now Hallow’s End is over and we farmed Healess Horseman’s Mount nearly every day in a fixed group with alts and friends. We farmed it about 10 days with 20-40 kills each and the the Scarlet Monastery Graveyard looked like this:
There were like 30-40 Sinsiter Squaslings and Hallowed Helms, lots of Helms, Swords and Brooms but not a single “The Horseman’s Reins”. Got to love RNG!
On Tuesday evening I decided to try to see how I could do in Molten Core on my Paladin. While some bosses seem to not be a real threat, Gehennas and Golemagg turned out to be somewhat tricky. It took me 3 hours to clear the whole place and a fair share of deaths to get the proper strategies for each boss, but in the end I managed ot get everything down.
To make the run perfect I got the achievement and the Eye of Sulfuras in the first run – I am such a lucky guy!
The past weeks I haven’t been very actively updating since the heroic modes of Call of the Crusade became available. Basically we farm Ulduar 10/25, VoA 10/25, ToC 10/25 normal on Alt and Main Characters.
The bright side of it all that we get, including the Heroic Daily, 79 Emblem of Triumph per reset and most of us have the T9 4 piece bonus now and we can hopefully get Anub’arak on 25 (heroic) soon.
Pirate Day has started so you might like to visit Booty Bay and talk to Captain Demeza next to the Horde Flight Point on top of the Booty BayBank for “The Captain’s Booty” which is required for “What a long, strange Trip it’s been!“. You’ll get a 12 hour Buff to look like a pirate!
Also tonight the Brewfest will start. There are lots of Achievements and dailies to do, especially to farm the mount in BRD. If you want to do me a special service do a /spit on Ipfelkofer Ironkeg at the Ironforge Brewfest, trust me he deserves it!
If you want a full sumamry of dailies and things to do at the Brewfest you might like to check out WoWhead. In any case don’t forget to move your alts to BRD to farm Coren Direbrew over and over for his mount! I’ll give more information tonight, when we started. Last Year’s farming looked like this:
