After what felt like and endless amount of tries and many many 3-8% wipes, we finally got Sindragosa on heroic mode with the last possible try (2/35).
You can’t possibly feel the weight that fell off our shoulders and the tension that built up during the last 2 minutes of this fight.
As you can easily see here the fight was a pretty close call at the end, about to hit the enrage timer and a tank death during the fight. Fortunately we made it anyhow!
I kind of like the challenges hard modes provide right now. I recall durin the last weeks we just rushed through ICC, with no need to optimize anything and just zerged through the encounters.
But now with so many heroic modes like Festergut/Saurfang/Blood Queen that we actually had to work for the reward is a sensation of achieving something, which is what raiding used to make out.
Anyway, we lost some people the last weeks and if you are interested in joining <Borked>, head over to our forum and write an application!
Ravencrest has been well known for its fabulous PuG’s, but this is definitely our highest success so far.
Last november we PuG’ed Anub’arak on heroic – though we never made it better than with 49 tries unfortunately – but this is definitely the new highlight.
Considering we just raid Fridays and Saturdays for like 3-4 hours each, this is awesome progress and we can finally get some hard modes done.
Here is the World of Logs meter for the fight.
Treebearman from <Pacifism> has done a great job leading this PuG to success and I would like to thank you for keeping this PuG running despite all the migration issues we have faced the past weeks.
On a sidenote, if you are an exceptional player with decent Skills you might like to contact Treebearman ingame or here on the forum to join this PuG. After the recent wave of migrations we have to fill our spots with fresh meat!
The most motivation I have gotten from raiding in the past was Topping Class DPS Meters. In TBC The WWScoreboard was the best website to display Rankings, per Boss, per Class and an average Total.
World of Logs has a similar feature, the Ranking Page here. It is a very nice list, but it does not include any kind of filters, yet. As Enhancement Shaman it is often tedious to find the proper page and thus I created and easy way to access the pages. Just select class, fight, difficulty and get directed to the proper Ranking Page.

Saturday is Treebearman’s Trial of the Grand Crusader (TotGC) 25 day. It is our third kill now and today we managed to get the Achievement “A Tribute to Mad Skill (25 player)“, for killing Anub’arak in 49 tries. Only one silly wipe on Twin Val’kyr away from a Tribute to Insanity which we will hopefully get soon.
With Justicebringer my Paladin is almost better geared soon than my Shaman :D We also had the third Death’s Verdict in a row which ispretty nice, considering that in the main raids on normal and heroic we have seen only 1 Death’s Verdict drop so far.
Thanks for the awesome performance and next goal is Insanity! Congratulations to all!
As European we are quite used to be limited to second class treatment by blizzard. There are hardly responses from the European Community Manager Team or even straight answers from Developers.
Icecrown PTR testing seems to peak at total unfairness. Why does Blizzard invite Players to the PTR, but then doesn’t enable Bosses, keeps doors locked or provides testing at different times than announced.
I mean there is lot of interest in testing Icecrown Citadel as you can easily see here:
But the for most people the evening ends like this, looking at closed doors, while some selected guilds get special treatment and personal GM help. Blizzard, you could handpick invitations to PTR if you can’t handle the load and prevent people from staring at the doors all evening.
Interesting encounter, eh? :D
