After looting the 25 embers and doing some quests at the bosses in firelands, the quest for the legendary staff Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa’s Rest leads you to the Quest Delegation. You need to fight an Ancient Protector and he will empower the player who is doing the quest to fight Volcanus. The fight is pretty simple, but at the same time, some of you may not have seen it yet.
Cataclysm will be launched within a few hours, most players wait with anticipation for midnight. But what can you do till then?
If you plan to get to Level 85 as fast as possible you will most likely want to stock up quests to turn in. Once the XP gain is activated on December 7th you will be able to have a nice bunch of xp waiting for you.
A lot of things changed on the PTR, quests like “Sealed Vial of Poison”, “Damaged Necklace”, “XXX Must Die!” weekly raid quest no longer yield XP.
These selected quests will bring you roughly 35%-40% into Level 80 with minimal travel time.
A nice change for hunters is coming up on beta (if you still have the item) is that the Ancient Sinew Wrapped Lamina got converted into a 24 Slot Bag!
Apparenty other Ammo Pouches have been converted aswell, but I am kind of surprised to see that they upgraded the Level 60 Quiver to a 24 Slot Bag. Considering Haris Pilton sells the Portable Hole, also a 24 Slot Bag, at 3000 Gold this is indeed a nice change.
Blizzard published today their plans for the coming patches 4.0.1, 4.0.3 and the actual Cataclysm start. This and todays announcement of the Arena Season Ending is a good sign that we might get Patch 4.0.1 in 2 Weeks on Oct 12th/13th.
Notice that only few features will make it into the Patch. Here is the full list:
A few days ago I uploaded this video to YouTube. After completing Hyjal or Vashir you will reach Level 82 and be eligible to help Thrall at the Maelstrom.
When this area first opened players complained that this experience wasn’t epic enough and that they were disappointed. Then the Top people at Blizzard had a meeting on how to increase the epicness of the Maelstrom.
Enjoy this, you will be able to visit Thrall only once. I haven’t found a way to get back there again.
